Credit Risk Manager, Flex Originations (Credit Cards)

Job Description

Monzo is seeking a Credit Risk Manager to join their Flex Originations team. This role is pivotal in driving the credit and growth strategy for Monzo's Flex credit card product. The Credit Risk Manager will lead a team of analysts, develop credit and pricing strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance existing products and launch new initiatives.

The role involves:

• Leading a team of analysts to develop credit and pricing strategies.
• Collaborating with Flex squad leadership to execute growth strategies.
• Designing and delivering new products and customer journeys with engineering, marketing, product, risk, and control teams.
• Developing and maintaining NPV models and affordability strategies.
• Monitoring and reporting on Flex originations performance.
• Building and maintaining database tables and dashboards.

Monzo requires candidates to have:

• Extensive experience in unsecured lending, ideally credit cards.
• Deep understanding of lending economics and underwriting strategies.
• Strong analytical and data capabilities with SQL proficiency; Python and Looker experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of UK lending regulations.
• Proven track record of leading and developing analytical teams.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
