Senior Platform Engineer

Monzo is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join their Platform Collective, focusing on building and maintaining the infrastructure, tools, and processes that empower Monzo's technology teams. The Infrastructure Platform team manages Kubernetes clusters, service mesh, and networking setups across AWS and GCP, enabling other teams to interact with cloud environments effectively. This role involves building and centrally managing cloud infrastructure and helping other platform teams succeed in using cloud infrastructure by abstracting away complexity.

What this role involves:

• Building and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP.
• Managing Kubernetes clusters and Envoy Proxy.
• Automating solutions to complex problems.
• Collaborating with other platform teams.

Requirements:

• Experience with AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Excitement to build a platform that enables success for everyone at Monzo.
• Comfort working in a team that deals with ambiguity.
• Inclination to solve problems through automation.
• Experience with strongly typed languages and backend software.
• Curiosity about systems and diving deep to investigate issues.
