Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description

Insurify, a fast-growing MIT FinTech startup, is seeking a Senior Cloud/Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. The candidate will architect and manage AWS environments, ensuring they align with business needs while optimizing performance, cost, and security.In this role, the engineer will be responsible for:

• Designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure AWS cloud environments.
• Automating infrastructure provisioning, management, and scaling using Terraform.
• Ensuring AWS environments meet best practices for security, availability, and compliance.
• Analyzing and optimizing AWS usage to reduce costs while maintaining performance.
• Designing and implementing disaster recovery and high availability strategies.
• Implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Collaborating with development teams to support infrastructure requirements and CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintaining infrastructure documentation and ensuring best practices are followed.

The ideal candidate should have:

• 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 2 years focused on AWS.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.).
• Strong experience automating infrastructure using Terraform.
• Proficiency in AWS security and networking (VPC, subnets, VPN, security groups, etc.).
• Proven experience optimizing AWS environments for performance and cost.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and DevOps principles.
• Excellent communication skills.
