Job Description
GitLab is seeking a Professional Services Engineer to engage with customers, providing installation, migration, training, and advisory services. This role involves handling installations, migrations, and advisory services across the entire GitLab feature stack. The Professional Services Engineer will interface with customers and GitLab's Product/Engineering teams to ensure customer success and drive improvements in GitLab features and processes.
What this role involves:
- Using a consultative approach to customer engagements.
- Delivering on SOW with guidance from technical architects.
- Providing technical training sessions remotely and/or on-site.
- Developing and implementing migration plans for customer VCS & data migration.
- Contributing to the extension and maintenance of documentation/scripts.
- Supporting engagement managers on quoting and scoping of SOWs.
Requirements:
- Professional exposure with one or more IaC/CaC technologies (Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, Chef).
- Professional exposure with one or more cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal.
- Experience using, deploying, or configuring GitLab.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Self-motivated and self-managing, with strong organizational skills.
