Job Description
Planet is seeking an Account Executive to expand its Government sales pipeline within Government Intelligence, Defense, and National Security sectors in South Korea and Taiwan. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in government and defense sales, with a proven ability to navigate procurement processes. This role involves identifying, qualifying, and closing deals to drive sales revenue targets. Military experience and a technical understanding of geo-spatial imagery products are highly desirable.

Role Involves:
  • Developing a sales pipeline to achieve sales targets.
  • Collaborating with the Government Sales team and Leadership.
  • Working with marketing to attract new opportunities.
  • Prospecting and developing business relationships.
  • Managing the contracting and Government procurement process.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate professional experience
  • Demonstrated success finding and winning business with Government customers
  • Deep understanding of the value of commercial Earth Observation imagery
  • Excellent relationships across North Asia Government and the partner ecosystem
  • 4+ years of related experience in geospatial software, imagery or technical sales
  • 4+ years of experience selling to government customers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work independently
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or a similar CRM System
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the year
