Lead ELA Instructor

Job Description

SEO is seeking a Lead ELA Instructor to join its community of passionate educators for a summer academy program. This role involves implementing a rigorous college-prep curriculum for motivated high school Scholars. The Lead Instructor will provide direct teacher development and support, lead classroom observations, and facilitate content meetings.Responsibilities:

• Engage in classroom observations and provide feedback to instructors.
• Develop a thorough understanding of content and facilitate content meetings.
• Collaborate with staff to support the development of the instructor community.
• Plan and facilitate learning labs for assigned instructors.
• Attend scheduled meetings and respond to communications in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a content-related field.
• Teaching certification, K-12 classroom teaching experience, and/or experience teaching at the college or university level.
• Experience working with high school-aged students.
• Expertise in advanced high school-level ELA.
