Quality Assurance Specialist - 2nd shift

Job Description

Cresco Labs is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist for their manufacturing facility in Brookville, PA. The QA Specialist will assist with quality-related activities, including sampling and inspection of finished products, handling customer complaints, conducting product investigations, and implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). This role ensures products meet specifications and brand consistency, identifying potential quality risks and collaborating on improvement opportunities.

Role Involves:

• Performing finished product sampling and inspection.
• Performing equipment and product line clearances before production runs.
• Writing customer complaints and product investigations.
• Writing QMS documents.
• Inspecting packaged orders.
• Reviewing in-process batch documentation.
• Performing batch record reviews and audits.
• Collaborating with operational functions to troubleshoot manufacturing and production defects.
• Monitoring compliance to GMP and SQF guidance.
• Executing action plans for product quarantine, destruction, rework, withdrawal/recall.
• Conducting all duties in compliance with safety rules, applicable SOPs, and other applicable guidelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years’ relevant experience preferred OR any combination of relevant experience.
• Prior experience in a highly regulated industry (healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods (food), cannabis).
• FDA, HACCP, SQF experience is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control function.
• Prior experience with product sampling, inspection procedures, customer complaints, product investigations, and CAPA.
• Ability to follow written procedures and monitor others for adherence to written procedures.
• Ability to create or update written procedures with site operations personnel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Utilizes critical thinking to troubleshoot issues, work collaboratively with a team to brainstorm solutions, and implement improvement solutions.
• Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.
• Requires ability to sit, stand, kneel, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.
• Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level.
