Senior Full Stack Engineer, Geospatial

Job Description

Vannevar Labs is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join its Geospatial engineering team. The team is focused on building a cutting-edge platform for unclassified geospatial analytical workflows. The ideal candidate will help build and deliver mission-critical capabilities to support national security efforts.Role involves:

• Building efficient and reusable front-end systems for complex geospatial applications.
• Implementing new geospatial algorithms, backend systems, and user interfaces.
• Collaborating with designers, engineers, and the mission team to deliver user-facing products.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to peers.
• Traveling up to 20% of the time to meet with mission owners and deliver capabilities.

Requirements:

• 4+ years as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Familiarity with relational databases (like Postgres), caching technologies (like Redis), object stores (like S3), and distributed search systems (like ElasticSearch).
• Experience with React and JavaScript Development.
• Experience building and owning features end-to-end.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be a US resident or citizen.
