Job Description

• Participating in early concept development.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams for optomechanical integration.
• Creating engineering concept feasibility for in-house projects.
• Developing 3D models in CATIA V5/V6.
• Mentoring design engineers.
• Validating lighting components and products.
• Leading product development with suppliers.
• Supporting DFM, Moldflow, and tooling reviews.
• Performing benchmark studies.
• Creating system requirements and specifications.
• Performing evaluations for legal compliance.
• Conducting root-cause analysis.
• Interpreting CAE, CFD, and Moldflow data.
• Proposing tooling approaches.
• Staying updated with emerging technologies.
• Managing parts from concept to production.

• Ten+ years of engineering experience in automotive or consumer electronics.
• Experience in design/development of optomechanical components.
• Knowledge of plastics, composites, and sheet metal.
• Knowledge in electrical and electronics.
• Knowledge in optical components manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of injection molding and plastic bonding processes.
• Experience with CATIA V5 and V6.
• Experience with DVP&R and DFMEA.
• Knowledge in GD&T.
• Willingness to travel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to interpret optical simulation reports.
• Knowledge in thermoplastics and thermoset resin materials.
• Team working and interpersonal skills.
• Mentoring skills.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks.
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience in prototype and production assembly.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, physics, or related field.
