Senior Accountant

Job Description

Axon is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Dedrone Finance team in Germany. This role is crucial in stabilizing the function and supporting global consolidation and financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will report to the Financial Controller, EMEA.Responsibilities include:

• Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger and financial statement closing activities in accordance with US GAAP and HGB.
• Supporting standard cost accounting process including accounting and analysis of variances.
• Coordinating and supporting income tax returns and VAT returns.
• Conducting actual vs. budget analysis and preparing month-end commentary.
• Generating and posting accounts receivable invoices.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with international teams.
• Supporting intercompany accounting and settlement processes.
• Serving as a key contact for tax auditors and advisors.
• Supporting post-merger integration of Axon subsidiaries.
• Participating in projects to optimize accounting activities and internal controls.
• Performing and documenting month-end close controls.
• Developing into a functional expert in Accounting on ERP-related topics.

Requirements:

• Successfully completed studies in Business Administration or Finance-related professional education.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in preparing financial statements according to US GAAP and HGB.
• Experience in post-merger integration and ERP projects.
• Experience with multiple deliverable contracts and revenue recognition guidelines.
• Business fluent in English and German.
• Ability to constructively deal with conflicts and ambiguity.
• Experience in internal controls and process optimization.
