Job Description
Axon is seeking a Sr Technical Program Manager II to join their team in Seattle, Washington. Axon is dedicated to protecting life through its ecosystem of devices and cloud software. The Technical Program Manager will partner with engineering and product management teams to drive projects from inception through design, development, and deployment. They will translate initial proposals into executable plans, manage scope and risks, and ensure initiatives are completed on time and within budget.

Role involves:
  • Coordinating across product management, engineering, and design teams to build project plans.
  • Coaching the team on agile, SDLC and other industry best practices.
  • Identifying and managing dependencies to help prioritize and parallelize work.
  • Tracking major risks/issues/roadmaps and ensure clear communication of issues.
  • Working directly with multiple teams of engineers to understand, manage, and propose both technical tradeoffs and execution priorities.
  • Communicating regularly and effectively with teams in Seattle, Scottsdale, Vietnam and Finland.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years’ work experience as a software project or program manager with specific experience delivering software for embedded devices.
  • High degree of competency and proven success with project management including Agile methodology.
  • Experience using JIRA.
  • Experience collaborating and working closely with remote and offshore team members.
  • Ability to create, read and understand detailed process and software architectural documentation.
