Job Description
Veeam, the #1 global market leader in data resilience, is seeking a Director, VDC Salesforce Specialist Sales to lead its global Salesforce specialist sales team. This role is crucial for driving Veeam's expansion in the SaaS data protection market. The Director will report to the WW Specialist Sales leader & GM of VDC Salesforce and will oversee a team of sales and technical specialists. This team will serve as subject matter experts, collaborating with regional field teams to enhance win rates, increase deal sizes, and shorten sales cycles. The role involves leading complex deals, demonstrating value, and securing technical wins across various opportunity scopes.Role Involves:
  • Building and leading a high-performing global team of Salesforce sales and technical specialists
  • Achieving revenue targets and growth across Veeam’s Salesforce backup offerings globally
  • Collaborating with regional account teams to execute New, Expand, and Cross-sell strategies
  • Developing territory plans, delivering accurate forecasts, and mastering competitive positioning
  • Partnering with product teams on roadmap priorities and customer feedback integration
  • Driving sales fundamentals across the business (pipeline coverage, forecast accuracy, win rates)
  • Providing weekly global forecasts with rigorous deal qualification
  • Ensuring strategic deals have the right Field + Specialist pursuit teams engaged
  • Developing talent through coaching, mentoring, and enablement
  • Engaging directly with strategic customers and deals
  • Leading quarterly business reviews with regional sales leadership
  • Building strategic relationships across the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Creating and scaling a repeatable "win formula" through documented sales tactics
  • Representing Veeam at key Salesforce events to build brand awareness and generate leads
Requirements:
  • 10+ years enterprise software sales experience with technical depth, and/or 5+ years of front-line sales management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead both sales and technical pre-sales teams
  • Experience forecasting, qualifying deals, and consistently exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong technical aptitude capable of handling multiple layers of technical questions without SE support
  • Deep understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem and market dynamics
  • Experience in a Specialist + Field sales model and partner-driven go-to-market
  • Strong relationship building with strategic clients and partners
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% with occasional global travel
