Job Description
Angi is seeking a Staff Analyst to optimize the performance of its pro sales team. The Staff Analyst will leverage advanced analytics to drive strategic business decisions and develop, monitor, and adjust compensation and commission plans. The role involves working closely with sales executives, sales operations teams, and product managers to determine optimal staffing levels, report on and analyze the performance of sales reps, and identify actions to optimize productivity and profitability. The Staff Analyst will also support priority initiatives and the launch of new tools to improve overall sales efficiency.
What this role involves: - Building and maintaining dashboards and reporting to monitor the performance of Angi’s sales organization.
- Reviewing business, staffing, and turnover trends and developing forecasting models.
- Designing and implementing sales commission plans.
- Supporting the end-to-end sales compensation process.
- Analyzing sales performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of commission plans.
- Conducting in-depth analysis of sales team performance metrics.
- Developing models to calculate profitability of sales rep activity.
- Building analytics plans to support A/B testing, evaluation, and launch of new sales strategies, tools, and processes.
- Presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Proactively identifying risks to sales team performance.
- Ensuring data integrity.
- Mentoring junior analysts.
- Staying current with trends in the home services industry.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 8+ years of analytical experience in an e-commerce, marketplace, or home services-related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL as well as data analysis tools such as Python or R.
- Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Ability to build complex, but clear analytical models and forecasts in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Experience developing and implementing sales and commission plans for a large sales organization.
- Experience with headcount planning and sales organization support analytics preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and apply predictive models to enhance sales performance.
- Strong communication skills to present complex data to cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in coaching or mentoring junior team members.
