The Social Hub is seeking a Chef de Commis to join their team in Glasgow. This role is ideal for culinary school graduates or entry-level professionals eager to develop their kitchen skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Chef de Commis will work closely with senior chefs, assisting with food preparation, mise-en-place, and plating, ensuring dishes are delivered with accuracy and consistency.Role involves:
  • Assisting with food preparation and kitchen setup.
  • Following recipes and directions accurately.
  • Supporting plating during service.
  • Collaborating with senior chefs and kitchen porters.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Storing and labeling ingredients properly.
  • Upholding health and safety practices.
Requirements:
  • Some experience in a professional kitchen or recent culinary school completion.
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen tools, cooking techniques, and hygiene practices.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Learning mindset and openness to feedback.
  • Team-first attitude with respectful communication.
  • Fluency in English.
