The Social Hub is seeking a Chef de Commis to join their team in Glasgow. This role is ideal for culinary school graduates or entry-level professionals eager to develop their kitchen skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Chef de Commis will work closely with senior chefs, assisting with food preparation, mise-en-place, and plating, ensuring dishes are delivered with accuracy and consistency.Role involves:
- Assisting with food preparation and kitchen setup.
- Following recipes and directions accurately.
- Supporting plating during service.
- Collaborating with senior chefs and kitchen porters.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Storing and labeling ingredients properly.
- Upholding health and safety practices.
Requirements:
- Some experience in a professional kitchen or recent culinary school completion.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen tools, cooking techniques, and hygiene practices.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
