Job Description

Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, is seeking an Expert Systems Engineer to join their team. This is a remote role based in India. The Expert Systems Engineer will be responsible for evaluating, selecting, designing, installing, implementing, configuring, upgrading, and optimizing the performance of Altera application systems, databases, and assigned technologies. He/She will be working to deliver infrastructure for internal and client-facing applications.Responsibilities:

• Managing, maintaining, monitoring, and supporting the infrastructure environment.
• Installing, configuring, and supporting hardware and software.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues in assigned technology.
• Conducting performance monitoring and capacity planning for cloud technologies.
• Identifying and systematically removing defects.
• Ensuring validation and incorporating review comments.
• Taking ownership of assigned tasks and providing timely updates.
• Documenting issues with resolutions.
• Standardizing and automating processes using scripting technology.
• Coaching and mentoring junior team members.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, management information systems, or related field.
• Technical/Azure/AWS certifications.
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of software applications and operating platforms, storage area networks, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Performance Troubleshooting, IIS web server troubleshooting, Microsoft Power Shell.
• Experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud or Amazon Web Services.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into understandable business language.
• Well organized, detail oriented, self-starter, able to work independently.
