Mr D, a subsidiary of takealot.com, is seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of its cloud infrastructure. • Cloud Infrastructure Management using AWS services.
• Container Orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Monitoring & Observability using Grafana Cloud, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, and OpenTelemetry.
• CI/CD Integration with tools like GitHub Actions and AWS CodeBuild.
• Log Management & Analysis using OpenSearch/Elasticsearch and Loki.
• Scripting & Automation using Python and Golang.
• Database Management across Aurora RDS PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Stream Processing with Kafka.
• Incident Management and system troubleshooting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role.
• Proficiency in Python and Golang.
• Experience with AWS services, Kubernetes, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, and Aurora RDS PostgreSQL.
• Practical experience with Kafka.
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
