Senior QC Supervisor

Job Description

Legend Biotech is seeking a Senior QC Supervisor to join their CAR T Manufacturing team in Ghent, Belgium. This role is pivotal in the production of personalized cell therapies, contributing to clinical trials and commercial manufacturing. The Senior QC Supervisor will lead a team ensuring in-process quality control, environmental monitoring, and sample handling, while upholding the highest standards of compliance and efficiency.

The role involves shift work and offers the opportunity to shape a growing QC team, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing QC operations related to in-process testing and environmental monitoring.
• Creating and coordinating shift schedules.
• Managing and escalating issues impacting product release timelines.
• Leading daily meetings and fostering a culture of engagement and accountability.
• Driving data collection and performance analysis.
• Supporting risk assessments and ensuring training compliance.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in a GMP or ATMP lab environment.
• At least 4 years in Quality Control, with preference for aseptic manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years in leadership roles, with experience in team development and performance management.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, GTP, and cell therapy manufacturing.
