Job Description
Rocket Lab is seeking an Offshift Production Supervisor to lead a team of composite technicians at its Space Structures Complex in Middle River, Maryland. This role is responsible for managing operations during non-traditional business hours, ensuring smooth operations and productivity. The supervisor will set job assignments, drive progress, and maintain standards related to process, workmanship, and behavior.What this role involves:
  • Managing a team of composite technicians.
  • Managing daily tactical and weekly strategic objectives.
  • Tracking team output against delivery objectives.
  • Driving improvement projects and work instruction feedback.
  • Ensuring team training and conformance to health and safety policies.
  • Contributing to team member training, education, and career development.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma and 5+ years of experience as a composite technician in Aerospace or similar high performance composite production environment.
  • 1+ year of team leadership experience in a production environment.
  • Experience with operations management, including daily scheduling, building, operating, and maintaining complex facility systems.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow manufacturing instructions and drawings.
  • Knowledge of safety processes and experience with handling hazardous goods and materials.
  • Proficient with computers, the ability to use MS Office, shop floor management software (ERP/MES) and related programs.
