Job Description
Astera Labs is seeking a Principal Reliability Engineer to lead reliability strategy across its semiconductor products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reliability modeling within the semiconductor industry. This role involves leading initiatives and serving as an internal consultant, defining and implementing reliability methodologies across component, chiplet, photonic, and board-level products. The Principal Reliability Engineer will ensure robust design from early development through end-of-life.
Role involves:
- Developing and implementing design reliability methodologies.
- Applying advanced reliability modeling techniques.
- Analyzing trade-offs between performance and long-term product reliability.
- Collaborating across design, product engineering, manufacturing, and reliability teams.
- Driving continuous improvement in design-for-reliability tools and processes.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership in driving complex technical issues to closure.
- Expert knowledge of high-performance/compute AI cloud infrastructure.
- Strong background in semiconductor physics and reliability verification techniques.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in technical program management.
- Working knowledge of PCBA design and electronic components.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field with 8+ years of experience.
