Job Description
The ACLU is seeking a Business Operations Security Program Manager to lead the strategic design, implementation, and ongoing management of core security functions and programs. This role, reporting to the Senior Director of Business Operations, will work in partnership with stakeholders to improve systems and processes, mitigate risk, and align security operations with the ACLU's mission and values.
Role involves:
- Managing the ACLU's physical security program across the nationwide network.
- Leading strategy development for evolving security needs.
- Leading incident response for staff and office security threats.
- Managing projects and facilitating collaboration across departments.
- Developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
- Supporting the ACLU’s Exec Protection management.
- Conducting proactive security vulnerability planning.
- Providing safety/security guidance for ACLU staff at National who engage in in-person speaking events.
Requirements:
- Experience managing security planning and response.
- Proven track record of successful system and process implementation.
- Experience managing vendors and internal operational functions.
- Experience with event facility configurations and emergency response best practices.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Understanding of staff lived experience with security and law enforcement.
- Ability to travel (10% or less/year).
