Whatnot is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Payments team in Dublin, Ireland. This role is crucial to the company's global operations, powering every order and managing payments at scale. The Payments team processes billions of dollars annually, making it an essential system for Whatnot's business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building reliable, scalable infrastructure and developing innovative ways for users to transact on the platform.

Team members are required to be within commuting distance of Whatnot's Dublin hub.

Role Involves:

• Building scalable systems to handle millions of users.
• Owning projects from inception to production.
• Solving problems and delivering features quickly.
• Contributing to both frontend and backend work as needed.

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of software development experience.
• Comfort with multiple programming languages (Python, Elixir, JavaScript).
• Excellent product instincts focused on user experience.
• Ability to mentor others and build inclusive teams.
• Strong ownership instincts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
