Data Governance Manager

Job Description

Policy Expert is seeking a Data Governance Manager to join their team in London. This role is based in their London office in a 50/50 Hybrid mode.

The Data Governance Manager will be responsible for developing, owning, and implementing a modern, integrated data governance strategy that supports Policy Expert's analytics and AI ambitions. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Data Governance professional with proven expertise in developing and implementing modern, scalable data governance frameworks, ideally in cloud environments (preferably GCP).

Role Involves:

• Developing and implementing a modern data governance strategy.
• Defining data domains and ownership structures.
• Establishing and enforcing data governance policies.
• Co-ordinating the resolution of data governance issues.
• Driving data democratisation.
• Facilitating data literacy and stewardship.
• Establishing clear data lineage, discoverability, and compliance standards.
• Scaling the team with Data Governance Analysts when appropriate.

Requirements:

• Experienced Data Governance professional.
• Expertise in developing and implementing modern, scalable data governance frameworks.
• Knowledgeable about current trends in data governance.
• Skilled in collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experienced in leveraging modern data cataloguing and governance tools.
• Adept at enforcing non-invasive governance policies.
• Familiar with insurance or similarly regulated industries.
• Strong communicator and influencer.
• Forward-thinking.
