Senior, Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Description

FourKites is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to bolster its business intelligence and analytics initiatives. The analyst will identify opportunities for data-driven improvements within the Customer Operations team, aligning with the US Central time zone and collaborating across sales, product, operations, and engineering. This role involves data mining, enhancing data collection, and creating anomaly detection systems.Role involves:

• Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
• Extending company’s data with third party sources of information when needed
• Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems, incl robust ETL process
• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
• Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results & insights in a clear manner
• Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance
• Establishing performance baselines, building dashboards, and transforming data through the use of SQL/Python Programming and SalesForce plugins.
• Analyzing performance in terms of revenue, cost and service to identify opportunities to optimize service level, maintain efficiency and minimize cost.
• Providing guidance to developing performance metrics, data structure required and connect them to business goals and objectives.
• Supporting ad-hoc requests from the leadership team by providing data driven conclusions and recommendations to help drive customer retention and growth.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Business, Economics, or related field; Master’s preferred
• 5+ years in data analytics, sales operations, management consulting, or supply chain
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative analysis skills
• Excellent business acumen to translate technical findings
• SQL proficiency, Python/R expertise, and data visualization skills (Tableau or similar)
• Salesforce Analytics expertise (Einstein Analytics)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure or AWS, SalesForce, Jira and Confluence
• Solid knowledge of database, data lake, data analytics and visualization tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning, project management and organizational skills.
• High attention to quality, detail & pivoting to scrappy solutions when needed.
• Ability to work individually or within a team in a fast paced environment.
