Job Description
Pure Storage is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead their Production Engineering team. This role is based in Santa Clara, California, and focuses on ensuring the highest reliability of Pure's newest product offering. The Senior Engineering Manager will lead a global team of forensic engineers focused on white glove Customer experience for Pure’s Hyperscale products. He will be responsible for managing and improving systems and processes that monitor and respond to fleet reliability issues. He will own the coordination of responses to critical issues, ensuring reliability through monitoring systems that detect, address, and prevent failures across all deployed systems.

Role Involves:
  • Leading a global team of forensic engineers.
  • Improving product reliability through root cause analysis.
  • Enhancing test automation and fixing critical bugs.
  • Developing new features and processes.
  • Defining the roadmap for internal tools development.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Managing team priorities and career development.
  • Overseeing product reliability metrics.
  • Owning the global software engineering on-call program.
  • Reporting updates to executive leadership.
  • Being the voice of Pure Engineering on customer calls.

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in a management role.
  • Experience in systems, storage, networking, or reliability.
  • Strong focus on customer service.
  • Experience engaging with customers in troubleshooting scenarios.
  • Proven ability to lead Quality Engineering teams.
  • Ability to drive shift-left practices.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Expertise in driving large-scale reliability initiatives.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
