Job Description
Zscaler, a leading cloud security company, is seeking a Staff Information Security Engineer, Data Protection to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's data and ensuring compliance with security policies.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate exception requests to technical security policies and maintain compliance standards.
- Develop and manage actionable security procedures aligned with organizational policies.
- Conduct security risk assessments for systems, applications, and processes.
- Monitor systems and logs for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents.
- Optimize DLP policies and collaborate with IT teams to improve asset security.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security, network security, application security, or security operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related field.
- Expertise in cybersecurity technologies and best practices for SaaS and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills in risk assessment, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation.
- US citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with Zscaler's product suite.
- Proficient in programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript), automation tools, and security analytics.
- CISSP certification in Cybersecurity Management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
