Job Description
Twilio is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to join their ISV Communications team. This role is crucial for enabling customers to build the future of communications. The Principal Solutions Architect will lead the technical pre-sales relationship, drive technical discovery, propose technical architectures, demonstrate the product, anticipate concerns, and offer creative solutions. They will build customer trust in Twilio solutions and be comfortable engaging with both CEOs and software engineers.
The role involves:
- Partnering with Account Executives to execute pre-sales activities.
- Leading the technical and product sale, recommending best-practice solutions.
- Establishing yourself as a trusted advisor to customers.
- Building and presenting interactive product demonstrations.
- Contributing to the broader Twilio Solutions Engineering community.
- Working with product leadership to support new strategies and product launches.
- Building innovative solutions to customer use cases.
- Mentoring less experienced Solutions Engineers and Solutions Architects.
- Contributing to Twilio’s blog, white papers, and presenting at events.
- Leading Architectural Reviews.
- Collaborating closely with Engineering and Product Management teams.
Requirements:
- 15+ years pre-sales experience selling complex, technical products or 15+ years of professional experience supporting technical products coupled with customer facing experience.
- Advanced proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Previous experience with customer engagement and supporting products and technologies.
- Previous mentor/coaching experience.
- Full understanding of the industry, Twilio’s competitors and Twilio’s place in the market.
- Customer focused problem solver.
- Exhibits excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
- Previous software development experience or working knowledge in cloud platforms, Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security.
- Experience with sales methodologies.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
