Job Description

PayPay, a fintech company with over 69 million users, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Financial Team. The Financial Team's mission is to support PayPay's services and business from a legal perspective, contributing to further business expansion. The Legal Counsel will play a crucial role in supporting new business and service planning from a legal standpoint.

Role involves:

• Legal review of new business and services (meetings with business departments, legal review, contract review, etc.)
• Research on financial regulations and industry regulations
• Responding to legal consultations from business departments

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in the legal department of a company in the payment, finance, or IT industry, OR
• Experience in handling corporate legal cases related to payment, finance, or IT companies at a law firm
• Experience in legal support for new business launches (preferred)
• Ability to work independently with a sense of speed
• Japanese bar qualification (preferred)
