Head of Business Development (Partnerships)

Job Description

Topsort is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Business Development (Partnerships) to join their rapidly growing team. This role is based in Somerville, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, execution-focused, and passionate about building strategic partnerships that accelerate Topsort's growth across various markets and verticals.He/She will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and launching strategic partnerships that align with Topsort's product and business goals. He/She will collaborate closely with product, marketing, and executive leadership to define partnership strategies, build meaningful alliances, and turn opportunities into scalable revenue-generating relationships.What this role involves:

• Owning the partnership strategy and executing Topsort’s global partnership roadmap.
• Driving partner sourcing and deal-making with high-potential partners.
• Leading relationship development with key decision-makers across partner organizations.
• Building go-to-market plans with partners to drive awareness, adoption, and mutual value creation.
• Collaborating across teams to align internal efforts with external partner execution.
• Developing scalable systems for partnership success and health.
• Representing Topsort externally as a key spokesperson and evangelist.

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or related roles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead partnerships end-to-end.
• Strong deal-structuring and negotiation skills.
• A builder’s mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to balance strategy and scrappy execution.
• Global perspective and the ability to work across time zones and cultures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
