Job Description
Aperia Solutions is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to join their team. Aperia is a Texas-based fintech and managed consultancy firm that creates custom SaaS applications and other software-based solutions for the payments, banking, and processing industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in external client-facing roles and a passion for innovation.
Role involves:
- Facilitating Scrum events.
- Working with Product Owners to refine the product backlog.
- Coaching the Scrum Team in self-organization and cross-functionality.
- Anticipating and addressing impediments to team delivery.
- Tracking progress through backlog tracking and metrics.
- Working with teams on leveraging Agile processes.
- Encouraging continual improvement and innovation.
- Coaching the Scrum Team in organizational environments.
- Supporting the Product Owner's vision.
- Leading and coaching employees and stakeholders to understand Scrum practices.
- Identifying areas of improvement and encouraging cross-training.
- Overseeing and providing regular status reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 – 4 years of Agile project management or solution delivery experience.
- Intimate knowledge and understanding of Agile mindset and Scrum, Kanban framework.
- Experience implementing best Agile practices and standards.
- Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP and SSM).
- Experience with Agile tools Jira.
- The ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications in English.
