Job Description
Later is seeking a Staff Engineer to contribute to the development of its social media and influencer marketing platform. The Staff Engineer will be responsible for leading large projects, communicating across teams, and improving the codebase. They will also be the go-to person for solving unknown problems and delivering solutions. Later is looking for someone proactive, results-driven, and adaptable.
What this role involves:
- Scope, plan, and lead large projects.
- Communicate across teams and stakeholders.
- Understand, clarify, and refine requirements.
- Communicate technical and non-technical thoughts.
- Solve unknown problems and deliver solutions.
- Continuously improve the codebase.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in React and Typescript.
- Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and Node.js.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL and DynamoDB).
- Expertise with integrating third-party APIs.
- Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
- Experience with designing scalable system architectures.
- Expertise in profiling and optimizing applications.
- In-depth knowledge of application and infrastructure security.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and YAML configuration.
- Knowledge of test automation and quality assurance practices.
- Experience with Docker.
- Ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
