Job Description
Warby Parker is seeking a part-time Optical Keyholder (Optical Supervisor) for their store in Milwaukee, WI. This role involves creating excellent customer experiences by utilizing optical skills, a friendly attitude, and product knowledge. The Optical Keyholder will assist both new and returning customers, ensuring they are satisfied with their eyewear. They will also act as a keyholder, managing store opening and closing procedures and maintaining internal operations. As a team leader, they will promote a positive and productive work environment for opticians and retail advisors.

What this role involves:
  • Working directly with customers to meet their eyewear needs.
  • Taking and recording measurements, adjusting and fitting eyewear with accuracy.
  • Ensuring finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
  • Explaining prescription terminology and product offerings.
  • Ensuring operational, service, and staff zoning procedures are executed.
  • Providing excellent service and acting as the main contact for customer and operational questions.
  • Leading and mentoring the Optical team, including Optician Apprentice Program participants.
  • Maintaining store systems, inventory databases, and business operations.
  • Fostering a positive employee culture.

Requirements:
  • Licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified in non-licensing states).
  • 2+ years of experience, including supervisor responsibilities.
  • Passion for the eyewear and retail industries.
  • Clear, effective communication skills.
  • Dedication to customer and teammate satisfaction.
  • Energetic, positive team player.
  • Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
