Job Description
Simtra BioPharma Solutions is seeking a Capping Group Leader for their Bloomington, Indiana facility. This role is a member of the Manufacturing Leadership Team and reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. The Capping Group Leader will coordinate the activities of Capping Operators, ensuring finished products meet specifications and comply with regulations and SOPs. They will drive quality operations, communicate with team members and management, and foster teamwork, productivity, safety, identity, strength, purity, and quality (SISPQ).
Role Involves:
- Delegating, coordinating, and scheduling activities of assigned team members.
- Training and mentoring other team members.
- Troubleshooting process problems and responding to process alarms.
- Participating on Continuous Improvement teams.
- Assisting in developing/reviewing batch records of new and existing projects.
- Assisting in establishing and orienting new projects for production.
- Reviewing project plans and batch records prior to operations.
- Monitoring assigned team’s documentation in logbooks and batch records.
- Initiating exception reports as required.
- Organizing and coordinating general cleaning and sanitizations throughout all capping suites.
- Efficiently identifying potential causes and verify/eliminate each one to determine the true root cause behaviors
- Examining documents/processes (SOP’s, equipment, methods, etc.) to prevent errors and/or recognize unexpected results.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 6 months of previous Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication skills
- Good documentation skills, including legible handwriting
- Good interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of aseptic manufacturing practices
- Knowledge of standard operating procedures, specifications, and job-specific training materials
- Requires the operations of multiple types of equipment related to the manufacturing operations as well as hand operated equipment including, but not limited to, such things as calipers, scales, gauges, and other measuring devices
