Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Roofstock is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain rental properties in excellent condition. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, customer-focused, technically skilled, and technologically proficient. This role involves servicing multiple properties in Tampa, Florida.Roofstock is the leading end-to-end investment platform for single-family rental homes (SFR), and this role is crucial in ensuring their properties are well-maintained.Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on apartments and single family homes.
• Complete thorough inspections of buildings, units and homes.
• Ensure HVAC systems are operational and perform maintenance.
• Prepare vacant units for new move-ins.
• Respond to on-call and after-hours emergencies.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
• HVAC Type II Certification required, Universal Certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license & reliable transportation.
• Two or more years of direct building maintenance experience desired.
• Experience as a contractor, construction worker, or mechanic.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to use systems for tracking and communication.
