Job Description
Adyen is seeking an Engineering Manager (Team Lead) for its Cards team in Bengaluru. Adyen is a financial technology platform that provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, and Microsoft. The Cards team is responsible for ensuring the security and reliability of card payments, which account for over 90% of Adyen's traffic.
Role involves:
  • Working cross-functionally with design, product, data engineers, engineers and other key stakeholders within Payments.
  • Contributing to code, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
  • Designing and developing scalable solutions.
  • Mentoring and providing technical guidance to the team.
  • Maintaining an inclusive team culture focused on autonomy, ownership, collaboration, communication, and impact.
  • Collaborating with different teams to design and implement new services with reliability/infra/data/dev in mind.
  • Setting clear individual and team goals.
  • Recruiting new team members.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years experience in managing engineering teams within a Java environment
  • 7+ years of experience in software development industry in a fast paced tech environment
  • Experience with Core Java, Distributed systems, Web services, REST APIs and SQL/PostgreSQL.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring engineering talent.
  • Experience in leading technical projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Full professional proficiency in English
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
