Job Description
Box is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Reliability to enhance the availability, reliability, and resilience of Box systems. The Reliability Team focuses on building frameworks and systems to enhance availability, reliability and resilience of Box systems. They design high-performance, low-latency, high-throughput services, promote best practices, and engage in architectural design to embed reliability into every layer of products.
This role involves building software, frameworks, and tools for reliable operations, managing the stability of critical production applications, developing automations, collaborating with engineers, participating in POCs, improving observability, working with cloud-native technologies, and participating in product design reviews and on-call rotations.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and operating large-scale, customer-facing products or services.
- Experience coding in higher-level languages (e.g., Java, Scala, Go, Python).
- Strong interest in solving challenging problems using innovative and data-driven approaches.
- SRE-centric mindset.
- Experience designing complex systems and frameworks.
- Experience troubleshooting issues across distributed Linux environments.
- Proficient with modern cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Experienced in service observability practices and tools.
- Comfortable learning new software, frameworks, and APIs quickly.
