Shakepay is seeking a People Operations Specialist to join their People team. This role focuses on managing the in-person, hybrid, and remote experiences for Shakepay's distributed team, while also supporting recruitment and employee branding efforts. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of recruitment experience and a desire to delve deeper into People operations within a startup environment. This position is based in Shakepay's Toronto office and requires working on-site four days a week, with responsibilities split evenly between recruitment and People Operations.
What this role involves: - Managing the full recruitment cycle for entry-level to intermediate positions.
- Creating and organizing team events to enhance employee experience.
- Maintaining HR systems like Rippling & Lattice.
- Delivering an outstanding onboarding experience for new hires.
- Maintaining office inventory and ensuring a well-maintained office environment.
- Ensuring Health and Safety compliance across locations.
- Supervising reception and serving as the main point of contact for building management.
Requirements: - 2-4 years of experience in People Operations and Recruitment in a tech or startup environment.
- A natural ability to build relationships and help others.
