Security Analyst (Contract to Hire)

Job Description

Recorded Future is seeking a Security Analyst to join their Enterprise Security team. This is a contract-to-hire position ideal for a junior individual with a strong grasp of security fundamentals. The Security Analyst will support various aspects of Enterprise Security, including security operations, incident response, risk management, compliance, and training.

What this role involves:
• Supporting security operations, incident response, and risk management efforts.
• Triaging and communicating the impact and severity of alerts.
• Documenting and communicating current and future security efforts.
• Acting on events and information within system logs.
• Organizing information within the security ticketing system.
• Coalescing routine reports for communication to large audiences.

Requirements:
• 2 years of experience with core security fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of EDR and MDM platforms.
• Experience with ticketing systems like JIRA and knowledge management platforms like Confluence.
• Scripting skills in Python, Perl, or Bash.
• Working knowledge of SIEM tools, including Splunk.
• Working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC & CMMC.
• Basic understanding of networking and network security fundamentals.
• Ability to distill large datasets into actionable recommendations.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time.
