Data Operations Manager, Horizons

Job Description

Anthropic is seeking a Data Operations Manager to lead human data collection initiatives. This role involves working across Coding, Computer Use, and Alignment Science teams to design and scale complex data collection projects. The Data Operations Manager will own "data as the product" for critical AI research initiatives, translating research needs into scalable data collection systems.Role involves:

• Leading the development and execution of data strategies for agentic AI research.
• Designing and building novel data collection systems and evaluation frameworks.
• Partnering with researchers, engineers, and product teams to integrate data collection systems.
• Building and managing relationships with specialized contractors and vendors.
• Managing multiple complex, high-stakes projects simultaneously.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Entrepreneurial experience as a technical founder, CTO, or similar leadership role.
• Proficiency in Python, data systems architecture, and machine learning workflows.
• Experience with agentic AI systems, code generation models, large language models, or AI safety research methodologies.
• Exceptional project management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
