Contentful is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their team in Berlin. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for shaping the future of API-first, composable analytics for enterprise content teams. They will lead the development of customer-facing analytics dashboards and insights integrated directly into Contentful’s user interface, focusing on building performant, intuitive UIs and reusable components that bring complex data to life. The Senior Frontend Engineer will collaborate with design, product, backend, and data teams to help marketers understand how content performs and evolves across its lifecycle.
Role involves:
Architecting and implementing analytics dashboards using React, Next.js, and Tailwind
Building reusable frontend components such as metric tiles, charts, and filters
Collaborating with designers to translate Figma specs into accessible visualizations
Ensuring frontend performance, responsiveness, and maintainability
Defining and upholding standards for testing, accessibility, and frontend development workflows
Partnering with design, product, and data teams to deliver cohesive user experiences
Mentoring teammates through code reviews and technical guidance
Requirements:
5+ years of experience building modern web applications with React and TypeScript
Proven track record of delivering complex dashboards or analytics tools in a B2B environment
Strong background in data visualization and rendering large datasets efficiently
Deep understanding of frontend performance, accessibility, and component design
Familiarity with analytics, headless CMS, or e-commerce domains (Bonus)
Experience with data visualization libraries such as D3, ChartJs and Recharts (Bonus)
