Job Description
Spektrum is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to support the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) in Brunssum, Netherlands. The NCIA is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and IT services to NATO member countries and partners. The engineer will provide expert engineering support for NATO's Deployable CIS Reference Systems, including design, test, implementation, deployment, and support of new IT baselines. This role involves specialized troubleshooting and exploring new technologies in networking, infrastructure, platform, authentication, web hosting, cyber hygiene, and Remote Desktop solutions. The engineer will also maintain the local Integration Hub Laboratory "MARS" and participate in a DevOps environment.
Role Involves: - Providing expert engineering support for NATO's Deployable CIS Reference Systems.
- Designing, testing, implementing, deploying, and supporting new IT baselines.
- Performing specialized troubleshooting and exploring new technologies.
- Preparing, installing, and maintaining the local Integration Hub Laboratory "MARS".
- Performing testing activities in the Integration Hub.
- Contributing to a Development-Operations (DevOps) environment.
- Documenting designs and implementations of assigned services.
Requirements: - At least 3 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments.
- Expertise in centralized storage systems, virtualization technologies, Microsoft Windows Server or Redhat Linux Operating Systems.
- Expertise in Directory, Identity and Access Management.
- Expertise in DNS resolution, server hardening, AD troubleshooting and GPO development.
- Experience with Microsoft Remote Desktop solutions, High Availability Systems, Windows patching and anti-malware update systems.
- Knowledge of modern digital communication networking techniques, protocols and standards.
- At least 1 years' active participation in a DevOps team with demonstrable experience of Bash or PowerShell scripting languages.
- Knowledge of ITIL IT service management mode and applied knowledge of Service Transition.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing technical manuals.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in laboratory and field trials planning, execution and evaluation.
- At least three years' operation and configuration experience of CISCO Routing and Switching Elements.
- A minimum of three years' experience in Exercises and Operations support.
- Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance.
