Junior Security Analyst

Job Description

MaintainX is seeking a Junior Security Analyst to join their team in Raleigh. This role is hybrid and will involve supporting the company's security and compliance efforts, particularly with FedRAMP requirements.MaintainX is the world's leading Asset and Work Intelligence platform for industrial and frontline environments.What this role involves:

• Tracking and following up on remediation tasks.
• Supporting security control assessments.
• Assisting with penetration testing assessments.
• Monitoring compliance with FedRAMP requirements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Participating in internal and external audits.
• Maintaining FedRAMP documentation.
• Staying up to date with evolving FedRAMP requirements.
• Contributing to awareness and training initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 0–2 years of experience in IT security, risk management, or compliance roles.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, or other cybersecurity frameworks.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
