CAD Technician (m/f/d)

Job Description

Isar Aerospace is seeking a CAD Technician to join their Production Engineering team in Ottobrunn, Bavaria. The CAD Technician will be responsible for CAD-related tasks, ensuring the production readiness of parts, assemblies, and methods. They will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing technical support to achieve best-in-class products and business practices.Role involves:

• Checking models, assemblies, and manufacturing methods.
• Collaborating with engineers to ensure technical feasibility and quality standards.
• Supporting engineers in designing components according to manufacturing constraints.
• Improving manufacturing efficiency and automation.
• Designing equipment and ground support equipment.
• Creating Manufacturing Bill of Material (mBOM) and Bill of Process (BOP).

Requirements:

• B.Sc/M.Sc in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or apprenticeship with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong CAD software experience (e.g., SolidWorks, NX).
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods (e.g., milling, turning, additive manufacturing).
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience in work preparation.
• Results-oriented with project deadline delivery.
• Resilient, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
• Lean production knowledge.
• Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
• Fluent in English, German is a plus.
