Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

Bottomline, a global leader in business payments and cash management, is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join their team in Kaslik, Lebanon. The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive test strategies and leading manual testing efforts. He will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

The role involves:

• Developing and executing test strategies.
• Providing technical leadership in defining test standards.
• Mentoring junior QA team members.
• Designing and executing detailed test cases.
• Conducting exploratory testing.
• Tracking and documenting defects.
• Utilizing SQL skills for validating data integrity.
• Collaborating with database and infrastructure teams.
• Leveraging tools such as SoapUI, JMeter, IntelliJ, and Git.
• Supporting testing in cloud environments (Azure).
• Providing feedback on tooling and framework enhancements.
• Working closely with product owners and developers.
• Communicating test progress and risk assessments.
• Participating in Agile ceremonies.
• Maintaining clear documentation of test scenarios.
• Reporting quality metrics.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4+ years of QA experience.
• Familiarity with tools such as JMeter and Performance testing.
• Proven ability to test RESTful services and web application UIs.
• Strong manual QA background.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Knowledge in UI and API automation is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in estimating effort and managing tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies and Agile practices.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
