Job Description
DEPT® is seeking a QA Tester for a 6-month fixed-term contract in Toronto, Canada. The QA Tester will be responsible for estimating, planning, and performing testing activities to ensure product quality. The role involves identifying, documenting, tracking, and resolving quality issues and defects.
Responsibilities:
- Following procedures, policies, and documentation requirements across project phases.
- Testing across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices, including smartphones and tablets.
- Collaborating with developers, account managers, and other development team members.
- Managing time across multiple projects and tasks in a deadline-driven, team environment.
- Participating in discussions with clients and team members about technical best practices.
- Identifying optimal technical solutions.
- Making quick decisions and solving technical problems to deliver projects on time.
Requirements:
- Ability to review HTML5 responsive emails, display banners, and websites.
- Ensuring they work perfectly across multiple devices/browsers/email clients.
- Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Identifying, recording, documenting thoroughly, and tracking bugs.
- Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Proven working experience in software quality assurance.
- Great eye for detail.
- Understanding of Agile methodology, TDD, and best practices of the development process.
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
