Job Description

DEPT® is seeking a Copywriter for a six-month fixed-term contract within their Personalised Content team in Toronto. This role involves crafting emotive, conversion-focused content for digital channels and brand campaigns, primarily for clients like eBay and Walmart. The Copywriter will collaborate with a global team of creatives to deliver on-brand messaging that drives clicks, engagement, and brand awareness.

Role Involves:

  • Creating clear, effective, and original copy for clients' onsite marketing.
  • Developing creative ideas and concepts across various digital channels.
  • Adhering to clients' tone of voice and brand guidelines.
  • Researching competitors and trends for creative inspiration.
  • Collaborating with design and account management.
  • Contributing to team creative brainstorms.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a copywriter, preferably in an agency or brand setting.
  • Experience in the e-commerce/retail environment is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of multi-channel digital copy and brand development, especially social media.
  • Ability to write compelling marketing and content copy that sells.
  • Confidence in working with designers, developers, and clients.
  • Readiness to work at a fast pace on large marketing campaigns.
  • Understanding of consistency across different touchpoints of a user journey.
  • Ability to present work to large groups and communicate ideas clearly.
  • A collaborative approach to getting things done.
  • Native-level or C1 German and excellent English skills.
