Job Description

DEPT® is seeking a Senior Copywriter to join its Personalised Content team in Toronto. This role involves creating emotive, conversion-focused digital communications for clients like eBay and Walmart. The Senior Copywriter will work within a global Copy Team, writing website copy that drives clicks and engagement, while also acting as a brand guardian.

The role involves:

  • Creating original copy and content for clients' onsite marketing
  • Providing feedback and brand guidance
  • Establishing copy standards and processes
  • Delivering creative ideas and strategic messaging insights
  • Researching competitors and trends
  • Facilitating brainstorms

DEPT® is looking for someone who has:

  • Experience as a copywriter, preferably in an agency or brand setting
  • Experience editing content and giving feedback
  • Experience in e-commerce/retail (a plus)
  • In-depth knowledge of multi-channel digital copy and brand development
  • Understanding of social media content best practices
  • Ability to deliver compelling marketing and content copy
  • Confidence working with other departments and stakeholders
  • Ability to present work to large groups
