Job Description

Launch Potato is seeking a Director of Syndication for FinanceBuzz. This role involves defining and leading the content strategy across key syndication platforms such as MSN, Apple News, and NewsBreak. The Director will set the editorial vision, refine the brand voice, and create a roadmap for revenue and audience growth.

The Director will work closely with the Editorial Operations Manager to maintain efficient production and stay deeply involved in the day-to-day work, including sprint planning, editing, headline writing, and photo selection. This leadership role requires overseeing a high-performing editorial team, mentoring senior editorial staff, and making data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Define and lead content strategy across syndication platforms.
• Maintain FinanceBuzz’s editorial voice and excellence.
• Monitor and interpret performance data to iterate on content strategy.
• Review, edit, and approve content to uphold editorial standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with SEO, Monetization, and Analytics teams.
• Mentor and manage a team of in-house and freelance writers and editors.
• Represent the Syndication team in company meetings.
• Introduce bold editorial experiments.

Requirements:

• Proven ability to lead high-volume editorial operations.
• Fluency in content syndication platforms.
• Data-obsessed mindset with strong analytical skills (Looker and Google Sheets).
• Adept at leading a team and developing scalable strategies.
• Exceptional editorial judgment and creative ideation skills.
• An open mind around the implementation of AI.
• 7+ years of digital editorial leadership experience.
