Job Description

Launch Potato is seeking a Director of Syndication at FinanceBuzz to define and lead the strategic direction of content across key syndication platforms. The Director will set the editorial vision, refine the brand voice, and create a roadmap for long-term revenue and audience growth. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on involvement in daily execution.

The Director will work closely with the Editorial Operations Manager to maintain efficient production and stay within budget. They will be responsible for ensuring content quality through direct involvement in content creation, including sprint planning, editing, headline writing, and photo selection.

This leadership role involves overseeing a high-performing editorial team, mentoring senior editorial staff, and making data-driven decisions to maximize reach, revenue, and impact. The ideal candidate will understand the intersection of personal finance, lifestyle content, and clickworthy storytelling.

Role Involves:

• Defining and leading content strategy across syndication platforms
• Maintaining FinanceBuzz’s editorial voice and excellence
• Monitoring and interpreting performance data to iterate on content strategy
• Reviewing, editing, and approving content
• Collaborating cross-functionally with SEO, Monetization, and Analytics teams
• Mentoring and managing a team of writers and editors
• Representing the Syndication team in company meetings
• Introducing editorial experiments to improve content performance

Requirements:

• Proven ability to lead high-volume editorial operations
• Fluency in content syndication platforms
• Data-obsessed mindset with strong analytical and technical skills
• Adept at leading a team and developing scalable strategies
• Exceptional editorial judgment and creative ideation skills
• Open mind around the implementation of AI
• 7+ years of digital editorial leadership experience
