Job Description
iFood is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead the engineering team in developing payment solutions for iFood Pago B2B. This role involves overseeing platforms, coordinating with payment platform leaders, and providing technical support to clients. The Head of Engineering will also share KPIs, mentor engineers, and promote a strong engineering culture.
    Role involves:
  • Leading the engineering team in developing payment solutions.
  • Supervising management platforms.
  • Coordinating with leaders of payment platforms.
  • Maintaining direct contact with the business area.
  • Offering technical support to clients.
  • Sharing KPIs and metrics with stakeholders.
  • Developing and mentoring engineers.
    Requirements:
  • Significant experience in software engineering with a focus on leadership.
  • Solid knowledge in payment systems, fintechs, or payment methods.
  • Familiarity with high availability and scalability architectures.
  • Knowledge of financial sector regulations such as PCI-DSS and Bacen.
  • Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams of 15+ people.
  • Capacity to develop talents and build high-performance teams.
  • Ability to make strategic technical decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in serving large B2B clients.
  • Commercial vision to balance technical quality and time-to-market.
  • Fluent English for interaction with international suppliers and clients.
  • Results-oriented and ownership of deliveries.
  • Customer obsession mentality.
  • Ability to work in an agile and fast-growing environment.
  • Resilience to deal with crisis scenarios and pressure.
