Job Description
Nature's Bakery is seeking a HSE Specialist to support safety in their manufacturing facility during overnight shifts. The HSE Technician will assist in executing site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities, ensuring compliance with company and governmental HSE Standards. They will play a crucial role in the site's Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System, fostering a robust HSE culture and driving team member involvement.
  • Ensuring the site maintains an audit-ready state of compliance.
  • Executing site environmental compliance programs.
  • Managing hazardous waste activities.
  • Supporting the deployment of site-specific HSE programs.
  • Delivering training on HSE expectations.
  • Participating in incident investigations.
  • Providing technical expertise on HSE matters.
  • Supporting efforts to improve Industrial Hygiene Risk.
  • Managing Worker’s Compensation and Incident Management processes.
  • Conducting safety audits.
  • Assisting with site security requirements.
  • Supporting Risk Management activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in science (engineering, safety, IH, etc.) preferred.
  • 1-3 years’ experience supporting safety and environmental programs in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of food manufacturing and GMP a plus.
  • Experience with hazard recognition, behavioral-based safety, job hazard analysis desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
